Rosy Glow Applesauce
Ingredients:
• 3 pounds of apples. (about three medium apples per pound. I used 9)
• 1 cup apple cider (if trying to cut down on sugar, replace this with water. Or 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup apple cider)
• 1/2 cup organic fresh cranberries
• 6 whole cloves
• 2 cinnamon sticks
Instructions:
1. Peel, core, slice the apples
2. Put all ingredients into a pot, cook on medium heat
3. Simmer for 20 minutes with the lid on, and stir occasionally
4. use a potato masher for a chunky applesauce. Or put into my food processor for a smooth consistency.
5. Before serving, remove cloves and cinnamon sticks.
This is considered a carbohydrate.
Pair with a protein.
This is just enough for a family of 8.
